A little town by the name of Cottage Cove sets the scene for a single Mom named Wren and her son Charlie. Wren wants what is best for Charlie, a gifted musically talented 10 year old who is a sensitive and caring young man. Charlie wants his Mom to be happy and prays for it. When Grandma Ruth, about to be 90, appears in town wanting a birthday party for herself, things begin to unravel. Ruth wants Wren's estranged brother and sister to come in town for the party and memories of the past come about, though not always good memories. Charlie's father, who left when Charlie was 3 months old, comes back via e-mail. A caring man also enters Wren's life and Charlie's prayers seem to be answered.
This book is a good read, hard to put down. A Christian spirit seems to be present throught the story and causes one to feel a relationship with Christ through the characters. Would recommend.
